School Accreditation-Legal Standard #26, School Media Report

 

Please complete and submit the School Media Report form by June 30 of the accreditation year as outlined in The Division of School Accreditation, Assistance, and Awards publication: A Brief Overview of the Major Components of K-12 School Accreditation in the State of Indiana.

The Indiana Administrative Code, 511 IAC 6.1-5-6 Media Program, states:

Sec. 6. All schools shall have a media program that is an integral part of the educational program. A licensed media specialist shall supervise the media program. Each school shall spend at least eight dollars ($8) per student per year from its 22200 account to maintain its media program. (Indiana State Board of Education: 511 IAC 6.1-5-6)

The eight dollars ($8) per student represents the minimum regular budget expenditure for the school year during the period from July 1 to June 30.
