The Indiana Department of Education has an established student art gallery in the main reception area of our office at Capitol and Ohio Streets across from the Indiana State House. The works for this gallery are selected annually by electronic submissions from high schools all over the state.

Art work is on display in the reception area for one year after which time the student artists may choose to donate their work for permanent display in another area at the Department or have it returned to them. The Department of Education has the selected works appropriately matted and framed for display.

This gallery is viewed and appreciated by members of the State Board of Education and many others who determine major educational policy for our students and schools. Please read the following information and carefully consider how you and your artistically talented students might contribute outstanding works to be considered for inclusion in this exhibit.
