Please continue to register trainees attending the course using the telephone number listed for each host. Likewise, when a trainee is registered and later decides not to attend, it is appropriate to contact the host site and cancel the registration. It is important that the employer, not the driver candidate, register their drivers. In the event that changes must be made or a class must be canceled, we will contact the employer. Also, be sure to check the schedule (above) frequently for any last minute changes.

After registering a trainee, if the school wishes to start training immediately, the employer may request a certificate of enrollment (blue card) prior to the class (otherwise, the certificate will be issued at the class). The request must be made by email and include the trainee’s name as it is to appear on the certificate, their social security number, and the pre-service class they will be attending. The person making the request must have a signature line in the email that includes full contact information for the individual making the request and for the district’s transportation department, an example of this is the contact information below for any questions about this policy. Such requests are accepted via email by Carrie Duthie at cduthie@doe.in.gov. Please allow at least ten days to receive the certificate.
