The 2020-2021 Indiana Literacy Early Intervention Grant (EIG) is focused on improving early literacy. This grant is open to all accredited public, charter, and non-public schools that contain kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students. Grant funds are to be used to better equip teachers to meet the needs of students, to enhance student engagement, and to increase student literacy achievement.

  • Allocations Released: September 16, 2020
  • Grant Application Window: September 16, 2020-October 7, 2020
  • Grants Approved By: October 28, 2020
  • Reallocations: January 13 2021 (more information will be sent to participating schools in January 2021)
  • Reallocation Budget Amendments Due By: February 3, 2021 (more information will be sent to participating schools in January 2021)
  • Cash Requests Due By: June 1, 2021
  • Budget Amendments Due: September 15, 2021
  • Encumber Deadline: September 30, 2021
  • Liquidate Deadline: December 15, 2021
  • Final Report of Expenditures Due: December 31, 2021
