INDIANAPOLIS – Today Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana State Superintendent of Public Instruction, is pleased to announce Jennifer Watts will serve as Assistant Director of Policy for the Indiana Department of Education. In her role, Jennifer will oversee the development of Indiana’s STEM plan. She began September 11, 2017.
Jennifer has extensive experience in strategic communications and federal policy. She served as the National Security Director in the White House, managing 1,400 national security appointments in the Office of Presidential Personnel. She also served as a Political Appointee for the United States Agency for International Development, where she managed strategic communications and served as an advisor to the Office of Science and Technology. Watts holds a Bachelors of Arts from Fordham University.
