Newly enacted evaluation legislation requires schools to evaluate staff and categorize them as highly effective, effective, improvement necessary or ineffective. To assist schools in implementing the law, the Indiana Department of Education has developed a model school social worker effectiveness rubric. While schools are not required to use this model, if chosen, it should be adapted to match the job descriptions of particular school social workers.
